Advantages of Ryerson MBA (Ted Rogers)

Some points that I can think of:

  • Excellent infrastructure, with a 75 million dollar new facility
  • Backing of Ted Rogers, founder of Rogers Communications, Canada
  • Location, location, location: right on Bay St, in the heart of downtown Toronto, at the intersection of Yonge-Dundas / Bay-Dundas, with east access by Subway (Dundas stop)
  • Very affordable, at $12,000 for the entire program
  • Excellent reputation of Ryerson University, grawing at a rapid pace
  • Hands on approach rather than pure academic approach
  • Part time MBA can be completed within 2 years, with classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
  • It will hopefully make a name for itself in the future, benefiting currently enrolled students

Another trick or combination you can use is to do an MBA from Ryerson and go on to do a 6 month Post-MBA diploma from Schuilch. I guess that way, you can make the best of both business schools and even make use of the career services department (for job placement) from both the business schools !!!

Disadvantages:

  • Too new to be ranked
  • Fewer alumni network
  • ? Reputation with recruiters
