Expenses during the application process

Common expenses that I encountered during the application process and perhaps you shall encounter too, if you apply to around 5 or more colleges:
  • Application fee : $100 to $200 per University = $1000
  • Courier charges: $200
  • Stationary, printing, photocopying: $100
  • Loss of pay, due to days taken off to study for exams & write exams = 20+ days worth
  • GMAT fees : USD.250 x 2 = USD.500
  • TOEFL fees: CAD.185
  • Transportation: $100
  • GMAC books: $100
  • Career Leader online: USD.95
  • GMAT focus online tests: USD.95
  • Trip to India to arrange transcripts & reference letters: $1000+

In brief, the process can get expensive indeed... more than $3000 in my case, excluding loss of pay!
